Initial Project Consultation
The success of any new business often depends on the decisions that are taken when the business idea is at an embryonic stage. From this early stage, it is vital that ALL the potential issues are highlighted and that stakeholders fully understand the nature of what is required. It is at this point, that a few days consultancy from Hawley Associates will prove invaluable and assist stakeholders in making decisions about the project's affordability and viability.
Project Feasibility Study
To enable the feasibility of the project to be considered, a detailed study needs to be carried out on each and every aspect and cost centre of the proposed operation. This study will include conceptual design of each centre such as hatchery, farms, processing facility etc., construction and equipment costs, running costs, raw material input costs, yields and output volumes, as well as site/service requirements such as land, water, gas, electricity, drainage etc. Timescales to develop each centre will also be provided. Much of the resulting report will be based on actual costings and other information put forward by industry suppliers. However, equally, many assumptions will also be used to enable meaningful and reasonably accurate information to be put forward without you having to commit to the detailed project assembly phase.
Detailed Project Assembly
Once a decision has been taken to proceed with the development of a fully integrated poultry operation, the whole project needs to be assembled. Detailed designs for each centre need to be produced, along with detailed specifications for required equipment, services and installation.
Quotations and tenders need to be sought from several suppliers for each specialism. Decisions will be made by stakeholders on which suppliers to place orders with, after detailed recommendations and advice from us. The best possible discounts will, of course, be negotiated.
Project Management
After orders have been placed, a team of specialists will be required to manage each part of the project to ensure development is progressed to design specification and timescales. Also, to coordinate specialist suppliers manufacturing/supplying equipment for a particular centre. Hawley Associates will look after and manage the whole construction stage of the project for you.
